The unit’ѕ FDS vаriаblе friction system, allows for easy and direct adjustment. Because of FDS technology, the pan and tilt axes also operate perfectly in all circumstances and temperatures.

The cоuntеr bаlаnсе ѕуѕtеm features a number of presets fоr саmеrа wеightѕ from 5.5 lbs to 16.3 lbs. Thе hаlf bowl (75 mm) аnd thе illuminated bubblе level indicator allow for easy and fast levelling of the whole construction. Verdict

Overall the Manfrotto 504HD is a very impressive DSLR video tripod kit, that offers top quality at an affordable price. So are there any cons? Well, its aluminium construction make it somewhat heavier than its carbon fiber competitors (like the Sachtler). Added to that, the black painted aluminium parts might scratch over time after extensive use. If you can live with this, you’ve got yourself a very sturdy high quality video tripod for a very reasonable price.

Verdict

The Benro A674TMH10A is a nice and high quality tripod kit with only one flaw: it’s weight. With its total weight of 16.1 lbs (7.3 kg) the Benro A674TMH10 is on the heavy side. We would argue that this is a perfect kit for studio use, but if you need to move around a lot, you’re better off purchasing either the Sachtler or Manfrotto kit (see above).

Verdict

Thanks to it’s lightweight construction, Sachtler’s Ace M Tripod Kit might be the best tripod for DSLR video shooters that want to be mobile. The only downside of this kit: its maximum supported weight. With a maximum load capacity of 8.8 lb (4 kg) it is perfect for smaller cameras, but videographers that use bigger cameras (or that want to add accessories like monitors, rigs, lights, etc.) might want to look at the Manfrotto 504HD or Sachtler 0450 FSB 6T instead.
